Package: RM 28,000/month gross | Bonus: 2–3 months | Experience: 12–18 years | Benefits: medical, hospitalization, insurance, annual leave, performance bonus, statutory contributions for local hires, relocation and temporary housing for expat hire. byteSpark.ai is a recruitment agency supporting a client in KL for the position of Head of Talent Acquisition. In this strategic leadership role, you will architect and execute the comprehensive talent acquisition strategy for a large-scale, dynamic organization based in Kuala Lumpur. You will be responsible for driving all aspects of recruitment, from executive hiring to volume recruitment, by embedding data-driven practices and continuous process improvement. This commercially-focused position requires exceptional senior stakeholder management to align recruitment with long-term workforce planning and business objectives. Your mandate will include elevating the employer brand, optimizing recruiting operations, and owning all talent acquisition KPIs to ensure a consistent pipeline of high-quality talent. Furthermore, you will lead and develop a high-performing internal TA team, manage external agency partnerships, and ensure the entire function operates with market-leading efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in talent acquisition, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing a team.
- Proven experience developing and executing enterprise-level recruitment strategies in a large corporate environment.
- Demonstrable experience in workforce planning and aligning talent acquisition with long-term business goals.
- Expertise in managing and influencing C-suite and senior-level business stakeholders on talent-related matters.
- Strong background in optimizing recruiting operations, including process mapping, technology implementation (ATS/CRM), and continuous improvement.
- In-depth knowledge of data analytics for talent acquisition, including defining, tracking, and reporting on KPIs like time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, and quality-of-hire.
- Experience in managing vendor and recruitment agency relationships, including contract negotiation and performance management.
- Comprehensive understanding of Malaysian employment law and local talent market dynamics.
Desirable
- Experience within the technology, financial services, or telecommunications sectors in Malaysia.
- Certification in strategic workforce planning or data analytics (e.g., SHRM, HCI).
- Proven track record of leading significant change management initiatives within a TA function.
- Experience managing recruitment across the broader Southeast Asia (SEA) region.
- Advanced proficiency with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
