Role Overview

A client of byteSpark.ai is seeking a Senior Presales - Telco/Security professional to provide technical leadership throughout complex enterprise and government sales cycles. The role will focus on lawful interception solutions and their alignment with relevant 3GPP and ETSI telecommunications standards. The successful candidate will translate complex network interfaces, protocols, security controls, and solution architectures into clear explanations for technical and nontechnical customer stakeholders. They will accompany the sales team during discovery meetings, workshops, presentations, demonstrations, and technical negotiations. The position requires ownership of requirements analysis and the design of secure solutions for telecommunications operators, law enforcement organizations, and other regulated customers. The candidate will dimension compute, storage, networking, resiliency, and security infrastructure for on-premises and air-gapped deployments where public cloud services are unsuitable. They will produce solution architectures, bills of materials, technical proposals, RFP responses, presentations, demonstrations, and proofs of concept. They will collaborate with sales, product, engineering, delivery, and security teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible, compliant, and aligned with customer objectives. Success in this role requires strong customer engagement, persuasive presentation skills, and the ability to manage technical risk while supporting opportunities through to a measurable deal outcome.

Requirements

  • Senior-level presales, sales engineering, solution consulting, or technical deal leadership experience involving complex enterprise, government, or telecommunications opportunities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of telecommunications networks, architectures, interfaces, and protocols, including practical application of relevant 3GPP and ETSI standards.
  • Experience with lawful interception, mediation, monitoring, intelligence, or closely related telecommunications security solutions.
  • Ability to design secure end-to-end architectures for on-premises, isolated, or air-gapped customer environments.
  • Experience dimensioning compute, storage, networking, high availability, resiliency, and capacity requirements and producing associated bills of materials.
  • Proven ability to lead technical discovery, requirements analysis, architecture workshops, and presentations for technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience preparing technical proposals, solution diagrams, RFP or RFI responses, demonstrations, and proofs of concept.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity architecture, access controls, encryption, network segmentation, auditability, data protection, and security requirements for sensitive environments.

Desirable

  • Experience supporting telecommunications operators, government agencies, law enforcement organizations, or other regulated and security-sensitive customers.
  • Knowledge of lawful interception architecture, including mediation functions, handover interfaces, and applicable legal or compliance considerations.
  • Relevant certifications in telecommunications, cybersecurity, networking, solution architecture, or infrastructure technologies.
  • Track record of influencing or winning high-value Telco or Security opportunities across multiple countries or regions.
  • Experience communicating complex technical topics through customer training, whiteboarding, architecture documentation, and executive-level presentations.
