Role Overview
A client of byteSpark.ai is seeking an entrepreneurial and highly commercial Senior Product Manager to build a premier, standalone Sharia-compliant wealth management platform. This is a unique opportunity to build a third-party distribution ecosystem from the ground up, backed by a global investment firm. The successful candidate will be the bridge between top-tier product manufacturers and elite frontline sales teams, delivering bespoke and off-the-shelf Islamic financial products. You will identify, onboard, and manage relationships with third-party manufacturers, curating a robust portfolio of Sharia-compliant Mutual Funds, Sukuk, and Structured Notes. This role requires working hand-in-hand with Wealth Managers to translate HNW client mandates into customized offerings. We are looking for a candidate with a strong sales DNA and deep subject matter expertise to drive the product lifecycle and hit aggressive revenue targets in a massive, untapped market.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in financial services and wealth management.
- Demonstrable experience in third-party product distribution and managing manufacturer relationships.
- Deep, practical knowledge of Sharia-compliant wealth products including Mutual Funds, Sukuk, and Structured Notes.
- A minimum of 3 years of frontline sales experience or a proven track record of deep collaboration with sales teams.
- Experience in building and curating investment portfolios specifically for high-net-worth (HNW) individuals.
- Proven ability to drive commercial strategy for product lines with accountability for revenue targets.
- Experience handling multi-jurisdictional mandates and global financial products.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree from a recognized university.
Desirable
- Working knowledge of Arabic.
- Experience building a product or distribution ecosystem from scratch.
- Entrepreneurial experience within a startup or a new business unit in a larger firm.
- Direct experience in structuring bespoke financial products for HNW clients.
- Professional certifications such as CFA, CISI, or equivalent.
