Role Overview

On behalf of a client, byteSpark.ai is seeking an experienced Investment Manager to support direct real estate investments with a primary focus on the United States. This role is pivotal in evaluating, underwriting, executing, and monitoring US real estate opportunities across multiple asset classes including multifamily, commercial, logistics, industrial, hospitality, and other income-generating or value-add assets. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on professional with strong US asset-level financial modelling, disciplined due diligence execution, investment recommendation, and IC memo preparation skills. You will support the investment lifecycle from screening and underwriting through transaction execution and post-acquisition monitoring against the approved business plan. This position requires a professional with direct US real estate exposure who can assess market fundamentals, test assumptions, translate complex analysis into clear investment recommendations, and help ensure asset performance aligns with the investment thesis and strategic objectives.

Requirements

  • 6-10 years of direct real estate investment experience, preferably in real estate private equity, principal investments, acquisitions, or investment management.
  • Demonstrable experience in US real estate markets, with direct exposure to asset-level underwriting, acquisitions, or transaction execution.
  • Strong, hands-on asset-level real estate underwriting and financial modelling skills, including IRR, equity multiple, cash flow analysis, NOI, debt, capex, sensitivities, and downside scenarios.
  • Proven experience supporting or coordinating due diligence workstreams, including financial, legal, commercial, tax, technical, operational, or market diligence.
  • Experience preparing high-quality Investment Committee memos, investment papers, investment recommendations, board materials, or transaction approval documents.
  • Direct experience in post-acquisition asset management, including business plan monitoring, KPI tracking, budget variance analysis, and performance reporting.
  • Exposure to multiple real estate asset classes such as multifamily, commercial, logistics, industrial, hospitality, mixed-use, or other income-generating real estate assets.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, real estate, business, engineering, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Desirable

  • A CFA, MBA, or relevant postgraduate qualification.
  • Experience with deal origination and an established network in the US real estate market.
  • Experience working within a Shariah-compliant or cross-border investment framework.
  • Exposure to value-add, development-linked, and income-generating US real estate opportunities.
  • Experience across a broad range of asset classes including multifamily, commercial, logistics, industrial, hospitality, and mixed-use properties.
  • Familiarity with US real estate market assumptions, financing structures, tax considerations, and advisor-led transaction processes.
