Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer to join our dynamic upstream operations team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. In this senior-level role, you will be a key contributor to our asset development and management strategies. You will be responsible for conducting complex reservoir simulation studies, optimizing waterflood performance, and leading integrated field development planning for our offshore carbonate assets. Your expertise will guide critical investment decisions through robust well test interpretation, dynamic data analysis, and comprehensive economic evaluations. This position requires hands-on experience in building and history-matching complex reservoir models to forecast production and optimize recovery. You will collaborate extensively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment with our long-term business and strategic plans. The ideal candidate will leverage their deep technical knowledge to enhance reservoir characterization and drive operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years of direct experience in reservoir engineering within the E&P industry.
  • Expert-level proficiency in numerical reservoir simulation using Eclipse and Petrel RE.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, implementing, and optimizing waterflooding projects.
  • Strong skills in well test design and interpretation using software such as Saphir.
  • Proficiency with reservoir engineering software including MBAL, PVTSim, and OFM.
  • Proven experience in conducting economic evaluations and risk analysis for oil and gas projects.
  • Extensive background in integrated field development planning and reserves estimation.

Desirable

  • Significant experience with offshore carbonate reservoirs.
  • Familiarity with corporate business planning processes and long-range forecasting.
  • Experience working in a multicultural and multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Knowledge of advanced recovery techniques beyond waterflooding.
  • Previous work experience in the Middle East region.
